A Successful Halloween Celebration at Our Nursing Home
This Halloween, our nursing home was a hub of joy and togetherness as we hosted a heart warming celebration for our residents, their families, and friends. The hall was thoughtfully decorated, ensuring it was festive yet sensitive to the needs of our residents with dementia.
Grandchildren Join the Festivities
The presence of the residents’ grandchildren added a special touch to the event. Watching the residents play and interact with their grandkids was a delightful sight, creating cherished memories for both generations.

We organised a variety of engaging games such as “Flying the Ghost,” ball games, and memory games. It was wonderful to see both residents and their families actively participating and enjoying themselves. Winners were rewarded with chocolates, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.
A Delicious Halloween Feast
Following the games, we enjoyed a delicious meal that everyone loved. The menu featured pumpkin soup with croutons, fried pumpkin seeds, a variety of sandwiches, Halloween-themed cupcakes, chocolates, and a selection of beverages including tea, coffee, lemonade, and juice. The pumpkin soup was a particular favourite, and our chef received many compliments for his culinary skills.
Moments to Remember: Families United in Celebration
Families expressed their gratitude for the effort and dedication of our team in organising such a wonderful event. They appreciated the thoughtful decorations and the time we took to make the day special for everyone. Even those who couldn’t attend sent their apologies and well wishes, showing how much the event meant to them.
One of the most touching moments was seeing entire families, sometimes with five or six members, come together to celebrate with their loved ones. These moments created lasting memories that will be cherished by all.
