‘However much nursing care our clients may need, they are people first – with a past, a present and a future. It is our aim to make that future worth having.’Ambleside Nursing Home has been operating for well over 25 years, providing nursing care to residents across South West England, with well-grounded community links including voluntary organisations. We are registered for 20 residents and admit elderly people requiring care for nursing, dementia and physical disabilities.The Home is located in the picturesque seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, approximately 20 miles from Bristol. The town has both rail links and motorway connections from major cities.

The Team

The homely feel at Ambleside is created by our dedicated staff. Our team have been carefully selected not only for their professional ability but also for their commitment to truly making a difference for the people in our care. All of our staff at Ambleside are directly employed by the Home – promoting relationships with the residents and offering accountability.Nursing care at the home is second to none. Our highly trained and motivated team put the needs and wants of individual’s interest above any other consideration ensuring excellent outcomes. Working together, led by an experienced management team, we combine our efforts to deliver high quality care for our residents. Our leadership enables and fosters ‘resident centric’ culture, continuity and responsibility.

Mission Statement

It is the objective of Ambleside to provide a standard of excellence, which embraces the fundamental principles of Good Care Practice to all service users and that this may be witnessed and evaluated through the practice, conduct and control of quality care in the Home. It is a fundamental ethos that our service users should be able do so in accordance with the Home’s Statement of Values. It is the objective of the Home that service users shall live in a clean, comfortable and safe environment, and be treated with respect and sensitivity to their individual needs and abilities. We believe that freedom of choice, privacy and respect are basic human rights, of which age, infirmity or disability do not devalue. Staff will be responsive to the individual needs of service users and will provide the appropriate degree of care to assure the highest possible quality of life within the Home. We offer quality care on a personal basis. Relatives and friends are encouraged to participate with the resident in care-planning and daily life at Ambleside, as well as on special occasions.
