Memorable Event – March 2024
At Ambleside Nursing Home we hosted a ‘High tea’ event in March 2024 to coincide with Easter celebrations to engage with residents, families, friends and staff members. It was well attended, residents had an opportunity to meet people, listen to conversations and stories. In line with the tradition, the chef made meal, meat, vegetables, tea and beverages whilst mixed with contemporary items of sweet and savoury. All our residents and guest enjoyed the event.
Although personal care and health are prioritised at the Home, but carers do not neglect the social health and wellbeing of our residents. Some of the best ways for residents to enjoy an active social life and remain physically active are through a range of accessible activities provided by their carers.
These can help to improve the quality of life for someone in care while adding some structure and purpose to their days, weeks, months and years. Activities and hobbies are something to look forward to and can range from simple tasks like shared eating experiences to mindfulness activities making art, listening to music and singing.
“It was a happy and well spent day for the residents and the fabric of our society”.
